You have so much control with an electric range. My favorite feature is the ability to pick a temperature. There are four others on the surface where you can choose from where to locate your pots and what size pots you wanna use. So, you have three different size pans you could put there. With my Viking, I can sauté and have it beautifully brown and moist inside and everything's done in about seven minutes. I really didn't realize it was doing that to the point it was changing how the food was being cooked. It would reach the temperature and then cycle off. The previous range I had was a Bosch which was very nice, but the elements would cycle on and off. You have so many settings that you can put it on. It's unbelievable how precise the unit elements are. So, we got it and it's a pleasure to use it. Eventually, I decided that was what I wanted. I knew it would but I was trying to avoid that high price point. The design of my range is wonderful and it looks absolutely wonderful in my kitchen. But I've had no difficulty with their website. The price was a little high and it was a lot of money to be paying for a range made of an inferior stainless steel in some of the parts of the range. But if they need to charge more for the same quality of Viking range from 20 or 30 years ago, then they should do so. Other than that, the range does an adequate job cooking and I like that you could take it apart and clean it pretty easily. The noise would go away after a while but I've not experienced that before. We also have a Viking hood which is making a lot of noise and I don't know how to fix that. They knew exactly what was going on and they got the part from Viking to fix it. The Viking dealer passed us off to somebody who said they were going to come fix the Viking range, and we couldn't get ahold of them, until finally, we got a hold of a second party who came out and fixed the Viking range. They’ve since fixed that by screwing it down. When you would turn the oven on, at a certain point, there would be a loud boom. This Viking range was making a lot of noise, too.
